In the Excelsior district of San Francisco, there lies a gem of a school. It's a place where the diversity of students, families, their cultures, and their experiences is valued. It's place of learning where people really care about each other and the welfare of their community. It's a place that many of us call home. This place is Longfellow Elementary School.
No longer the best kept secret in San Francisco, we are currently serving over 600 K-5th grade students. We have a diverse teaching faculty and support staff that goes above and beyond to make sure that students at our school are getting a quality education that is both academically rigorous while also teaching students to care deeply about the world around them.
We are also very fortunate to have an active and lively Parent Teacher Association (PTA) that has organized projects/event such as Walk to Win Wednesdays, Parent Workshops/Family Fun Nights, and the Food Bank every Friday.
